Exterior Systems & Components of a Home

The inspection of the exterior of a single family home includes; wall cladding, trim, windows and doors, roof inspection (including flashings, penetrations and drainage systems), chimneys, porches, decks, patios, walkways, driveways, landscaping and grading. We inspect these areas not only for condition, but how they affect the dwelling. Defects in exterior systems can cause damage to structural or interior components. Exterior systems should function to protect the structure and interior from the elements. The exterior of the home is inspected for areas not performing within this intended purpose.
